Privacy policy
This English version is a courtesy translation. The German version ("Datenschutzerklärung") is legally binding.
The protection of your personal data is important to us. This policy explains which data are processed when you visit this website, what we use them for and what rights you have.
1. Controller
The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
DS SafetyWear Arbeitsschutzprodukte GmbH
Deutz-Mülheimer-Straße 121
51063 Cologne
Germany
Phone: +49 221 292096-50
Email: info@dssafetywear.de
Managing director: Dennis Alexandrakis
2. Overview
This website is an information and product website. We do not use cookies or any analytics or tracking services, and there is no user account and no shopping basket. Orders are placed via a quotation or via our B2B shop (dssafetywear.de), which has its own privacy policy.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. When the website is accessed, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data that your browser transmits automatically: IP address, date and time of access, the page or file requested, the previously visited page (referrer), browser type and operating system, and the status code of the request. This processing is necessary to deliver the website, to ensure its security and to detect faults.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation). The retention period of the log files depends on the hosting provider's settings and is limited to what is necessary. We conclude a data processing agreement with the hosting provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
4. Contact and enquiries
If you contact us by email or phone or use the enquiry form, we process the information you provide, such as name, company, email address, phone number, your message, the selected items and a specification from the configurator. We use it to answer your enquiry and to send quotations or data sheets.
When you submit the form, your browser transmits the data to the server of this website, which forwards them by email to info@dssafetywear.de. The email is sent via the email service of our hosting provider (sender noreply@prosafe-bigbag.eu). Our mailbox info@dssafetywear.de is operated on Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online); the contracting party is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, and Microsoft's Data Protection Addendum applies. We do not store the entries on the server; to limit misuse, only an anonymised counter (a hash value, not the IP address in plain text) is kept briefly, for a maximum of one hour. If sending is technically not possible, the page opens your email program with a prepared message instead.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry is aimed at a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We delete your data as soon as the enquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations prevent this.
5. Shortlist, configurator and finder
Your browser stores the shortlist (items and quantities), the specification in the configurator and the entries in the calculator locally in its storage (localStorage). These data do not leave your device and are not transmitted to us. Only when you submit the enquiry form do we transmit the information as part of your enquiry. Storage is technically necessary for the function you requested (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can remove the list with "Clear shortlist" or by deleting your browser's site data.
5a. Printing advisor
The printing advisor creates the preview entirely in your browser. Uploaded files are not transmitted to us for this purpose. For PDF files, the browser loads the pdf.js library hosted on our server; no data are transmitted to third parties. When you submit a printing enquiry, we transmit your details, the preview and, if you leave the box ticked, the logo files by email to info@dssafetywear.de. They are not stored on the server of this website. Please only upload files for which you hold the necessary rights. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
6. Fonts
The fonts used (Geist and Geist Mono) are hosted locally on our server. No connection is established to servers of Google or other font providers.
7. External links
This website contains links to other websites, for example to our B2B shop and to the websites of our brands. By clicking on such a link, you leave our website. The operators of the linked websites are responsible for the data processing there.
8. Transfer of data to third countries
We do not transfer personal data to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area unless this is technically necessary to deliver the website. Where such processing is carried out by service providers, it only takes place on the basis of appropriate safeguards in accordance with Art. 44 et seq. GDPR.
9. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests, you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. To exercise your rights, an email to info@dssafetywear.de is sufficient.
10. Complaint to a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf.
11. Data security and updates
This website is delivered in encrypted form via HTTPS (TLS). Last updated: 24 October 2026. We will adapt this policy if functions of the website or legal requirements change.
