PP Flat Bags with Closing Strap and PE Liner

For small and medium quantities and for material that is filled by hand: flat bags with closing strap, with PE liner on request. The large formats (140 × 220 cm) take bulky insulation.

Information per product data sheet. “On request” means: the data sheet is unclear at this point or gives no information, and we confirm the value before your order. PU = packing unit (pieces per pallet). We state prices in the quotation.

Selection

What matters when choosing

Small quantities, quick handling

Flat bags are light, are filled by hand and tied shut with a closing strap.

PE liner for better sealing

Versions with PE liner (e.g. 30 µm) are for material that should be packed more tightly.

140 × 220 cm for insulation

The large format with drawcord in the hem takes bulky mineral wool.

Flat bag instead of big bag: when it pays off

A PP flat bag has no lifting loops and is not moved by crane or forklift. It is light, is filled by hand and is tied shut with a closing strap or a drawcord in the hem. This suits small and medium quantities, material that does not arise by the tonne, and work where every movement counts. For granular, woven or lumpy asbestos waste, TRGS 519 no. 18.1 (2) names sufficiently strong plastic sacks; for mineral wool the large formats up to 140 × 220 cm are intended.

PU = pieces per pallet (bales and bundles are given on the product page). Where the packing unit is unclear in the data sheet, it says “on request”.

Coating, liner, closure: the differences

  • Coated: according to the data sheet, it protects against the ingress of moisture. The better choice for damp material and outdoor storage.
  • Uncoated with PE liner: the inserted inner sack makes the flat bag tighter. The liner thicknesses in our range: 25 µm (PPFB60PE), 30 µm (PPFB70PE); for other items the data sheet gives no µm value.
  • Closing strap: the standard for the formats from 60 × 100 to 80 × 130 cm.
  • Drawcord in the hem: on the large formats (100 × 150 and 140 × 220 cm) the sack draws together at the opening.
  • Fabric weight: 50 g/m² (PPFB60PE, PPFB70PE), 60 g/m² (PPFBM100, PPFBM140, PPFBM140U). A higher weight generally means more strength.

Asbestos and mineral wool

The flat bags with asbestos warning print (PPFBA…) carry the notice in seven languages, the mineral wool sacks (PPFBM…) in three. With mineral wool, volume matters, not weight: old mineral wool weighs only about 0.10 t/m³ (guide value from the Fill Limit Calculator), which is why the large formats with drawcord are in demand. The data sheets cite TRGS 521 as the standard reference for mineral wool and TRGS 519 for asbestos. As with all containers: clarify which packaging your acceptance point requires before you order. For asbestos waste, read Asbestos big bags and sacks.

Delivery and printing

Flat bags are delivered in bundles and bales on pallets, with 1,000 to 4,200 pieces per pallet. Printing is possible from 5 pallets per order and motif. For flat bags that means, for example, 16,000 pieces for item PPFBA70. The packing unit is given for each item in the table and in the data sheet.
