Packing corrugated sheets in BBA320
Corrugated sheets made of fibre cement or asbestos cement are long and flat and do not fit in a standard big bag. BBA320 measures 320 cm in length, 125 cm in width and 30 cm in height, carries the asbestos warning print and has a load capacity of 1,500 kg. Four lifting loops on two circumferential straps spread the load over the length of 320 cm.
When corrugated sheets are removed, they are stacked and moved by crane or forklift. The weight of the parts adds up: it must not exceed 1,500 kg, and your acceptance point may require a lower maximum weight per bag. The dimensions are external dimensions: your parts must fit in with some margin, and the stack must not be higher than 30 cm. For higher stacks there is BBA321 at 320 × 125 × 45 cm, for parts up to 260 cm in length BBA260 and BBA261.

Load-bearing capacity of BBA320
BBA320 holds 1.20 m³ by calculation and carries 1,500 kg at safety factor 5:1. This gives a mean density of 1,250 kg/m³ at full utilisation of volume and load capacity: material that is heavier does not fill the bag to the brim, and lighter material does not reach the load capacity. For sheets and profiles the weight of the parts counts, not a bulk density. Add up the weight of the parts and compare it with 1,500 kg before you fill BBA320.
Quantity planning with BBA320
How many BBA320 do you need for a given quantity of material? The table uses the nominal volume of 1.20 m³ and 240 pieces per pallet. With sand (1.50 t/m³), the load capacity of 1,500 kg limits the fill quantity per bag to 1.00 m³.

Handling of BBA320
- On BBA320 the four lifting loops lie on two circumferential straps. Attach all four at the same time; the straps spread the load over the length of 320 cm.
- BBA320 is coated. According to the data sheet the fabric protects against the ingress of moisture and is suitable for rain and outdoor storage. UV light still weakens it.
- When filled, BBA320 weighs up to 1,500 kg. Lifting equipment, lifting accessories and ground must be rated for this.
- BBA320 carries the asbestos warning print in seven languages. Leave it visible and clarify type of packaging and maximum weight with your acceptance point in advance.

- A pallet holds 240 pieces of BBA320 (6 bundles of 40 pieces). Store unused bags in their original packaging.
